Gurdwara Sis Ganj is a famous Gurdwara in new delhi. It is positioned in New Delhi. Gurudwara Sis Ganj is one among 9 most well known Gurudwaras in Fresh Delhi. It was built to mark the fatality of the 9th Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur in 1783.

The Gurudwara stages is an abbreviation for  on Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi's most famous streets and is a standing memory to all those who fell for the righteous cause of the freedom to choose one's own religion.

This kind of magnificent structure attracts hundreds of visitors yearly {throughout the Sikh festivals and yearly where devotees come to find the trunk of the tree where their guru was executed and the well where this individual took his baths while he was imprisoned at these very grounds.

The Gurudwara was built in 1930. The trunk of the tree under which the Guru Shri Tegh Bahadur was beheaded is also preserved here as is the well from which the Guru required  bath while in the prison. Also standing plus the Gurdwara is the Kotwali (Police Station), where he was imprisoned and his disciples were tormented by Mughal Emperor.

In 11 March 1783, Sikh military leader Baghel Singh (1730-1802) marched into Delhi along with his full army. He occupied the Diwan-i-Am, the Mughal Chief Shah Alam II made a settlement with Baghel Singh, agreeing to permit Baghel Singh to raise gurudwaras on the Sikh historical sites in metropolis and receive 6 annas in a rupee (37. 5%) of all the compromis duties in the capital. Gurudwara Sis Ganj was one of shrines built by him, within the space of eight several weeks, from April to Nov1783.
